The central coast in California is actually over 300 miles long and contains most of California's best beach area's. Along that strech of coastline are some of the most stunning landscapes in California if not the entire world.You will find not only great scenery but also some excellent vacation spots and of course lots of tourist attractions.

There are also a few other things to think about before you actually invest in central coast california real estate. We are going to consider a few of those things and also use a simple method for helping us choose the type of central coast Califonia real estate that is best for us.

One of the best things I have found to be helpfull when trying to decide 'what to decide on', is to get a sheet of plain paper, draw a line down the middle of it so you now have two halves. On one side the paper you can have a heading like 'For' and on the other side 'Against'. Now as you think about the following tips in the next few paragraphs you can have a list to help you with your choices.

Tips to consider when buying:

1. One of the things to consider is that you need to establish if you are you looking at just a lifestyle change or are you looking for an investment? Or perhaps it will be a combination of both. This will have a bearing on the next thing to consider.

2. As they say in some advertisements it's location,location,location. Obviously this is one of the main things to think about when you are considering a property on the central coast ,this is to choose the best area that you feel comfortable in. Whether you choose to live in a place like Arroyo Grande who's diversivied coastal ecosystem includes forested areas,coastal praries and even dunes or a place like Pismo Beach which is very popular ( not just for being 'the Clam Capital of the World').

3. Also, another point to consider is to have a look around the area and see if there are any large companies or corporations that are situated close by. This can be another factor that can help add value to your propery and thus give you another plus on your list.

4. It can also be beneficial for you to visit the area you are considering and visit the local shops or malls and have a chat to a few people that work there, ask them how they like the lifestyle and how they enjoy (or not) living there. You will be amazed at how much local knowledge you will suddenly gain. I have always found that people are always very willing to help when we ask for it,not to mention some people love to give advice. You just need to write down the pros and cons on your list as you listen to some of them.
